On February 9th, 1927, died the publicist and folklorist from the Arberesh Hora, Zef Skiroi. He has left us a rich literary heritage and studies. He has written many works as“Skënderbeu”, “Te dheu i huaj”, etc. An important place in his work has the study of folklore of Albanian colony in Piana dei Greci. In 1887 he published the cultural and literary magazine ” Arbëri i ri “. For many years Zef Skiroi directed the department of the Albanian language in Naples and published very valuable works.
