The actor and director Niko Kanxheri was born in Tirana on February 17th, 1947. He finished the High School in Korca and later he followed the High School for Actor at the National Theatre. After the graduation he was appointed director, in the Culture newsroom of Radio Tirana and then in the Albanian Radio Television. His first film was “Happy couple”, in which he plays the role of the groom. He has played in the films “The couriers”, “Bloody land”, “Colors of age”, “The blow”, etc. For years, he gives lectures at the Academy of Arts in Tirana, preparing new generations of artists for the scene and Albanian screen.
