Mehmet Pashë Dërhalla
In Gradec of Tetovo, on October 31st, 1843, was born the warrior for the freedom and independence of Albania, the military Mehmet Dërhalla. He was graduated on the Military Academy in Istanbul and in the Turkish Academy. He served as a high officer in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Greece. In the time of Prizren League, he was in its service; later he became one of the initiators and leaders of Peja League and Ferizaj Assembly. He fought with weapons in the anti-Ottoman insurrection in 1910-1912. He was appointed as First Minister of the War in the Government of Ismail Qemali.
