On January 26th, 1929 the Arberesh of Italy in the United States published the first number of their newspaper “Albania”. It was published in New York once in two weeks and treated political social, cultural and literary problems. This newspaper published news and announcements from the life of Arberesh of Calabria and Sicily from Albania and activities of Albanian colonies in the United States. In 1940 it become a monthly magazine.
