In Bari, Italy, on March 2nd, 1925, in a political assassination Ballfon Stamolla killed the prominent patriot from Shkodra Luigj Gurakuqi. In this way, after the suppression of the June Revolution, the new elected President of Albania, continued the campaign of purges to his opponents.
