In the Greek capital Athens on November 18th, 1940, was born Dhimitër Prifti, future doctor of geological sciences.He began his studies in Moscow and after rupture of the diplomatic relations, he continued at the University of Tirana, where he graduated as an engineer. He began his career in the Central Laboratory of Petroleum in Kucova. Later he worked in Fier, Marinzë, and the Ministry of Industry and Energy in Tirana.He was one of the leading researchers of gas. On the performance and contribution in researching and geological studies, in 1999, the priest Dhimitër Priftit was awarded the title “Master of research”.
