13 July 1880, in a heroic battle of Hodo Sokoli Montenegrin armies pulled out of the invasion of Hoti and Gruda

On July 13, 1880, one of the toughest battles of Albanian freedom fighters took place, under the leadership of Hodo Sokoli, for the protection of Hoti and Gruda, the ethnic Albanian troops that the Berlin Congress arbitrarily granted to Montenegro. As a result of the Albanian resistance, the Montenegrin armies gave up their occupation.
