In Shijak, in late May, a relief was discovered with the anatomical figure of the Heraki hero of the archaic era of the fourth century BC. This very rare art work on the Balkans and unique in Albania, holds an Illyrian-Albanian inscription. This is the first inscription in the Illyrian language, discovered in our country. This gives archaeological findings of multiple value: as an art monument, as a document of historical importance and as material of invaluable linguistic value.
