25 March 1877, was born in Prizren the cleric Dom Pashko Krasniqi

In the historic town of Prizren on March 25th, 1877 was born Dom Pashko Krasniqi, clergyman, teacher and prominent patriot. After completing the high studies in theology in Austria, he served as parson in Gjakova, where in addition to religious services, opened a night school to learn Albanian. During 1912-1914, he served in Prizren, where he worked as a correspondent of the Viennese newspaper “Raihpost” by treating in its pages the problems of Kosovo and Albania. He was become a targeted for the Serbian chauvinists and was forced to emigrate in Sofia, Budapest and Vienna. For 9 years he preached in Mirdita Mountains. He did the last religious duties in Vig of Mirdita, in November 1930. But all these years, he did not stop working as a teacher, and wherever he has been the churches were turned into schools.
