The great American poet Henry Uadsford Longfelou, who was born on February 28th, 1807 became part of the libraries and Albanian houses, since 1916, when Fan Noli translated and published in Boston in the United States the poem “Skanderbeg”. 7 years later Parashqevi Qiriazi brought in Albanian the tale “Evangjelia” that was published in 1923. Skender Luarasi translated for the Albanian readers the American poet’s masterpiece “Kenga e Hajevathës”. For us Albanians, a special interest represents the poem dedicated to our National Hero that was translated by Fan Nol, published and republished several times.
