Gjirokastra
In Ploçan Gjirokastra, on January 7th, 1928, was born the doctor and writer Emil Cimbi. After graduation at the University of Bucharest he has served as a doctor in several districts of the country. He worked as a research associate at the Institute for Pedagogical Studies, and has given 15 years of lectures in the Faculty of Medicine and History and Philology. Professor Doctor Emil Cimbi for years has become known in the literary world as a poet, writer, playwright and translator. We find his writings published in the magazine “Nëntori”, “Hosteni”, “Yllka”, etc.
