From July31st, 1957 to December31st, 1958 was organized “the third International Geophysical Year “, where for the first time our country took part. The first Geophysical year was organized in the years 1882-1883 and the second in 1932-1933, which are called international polar years. The third year had a much more extensive program. The Albanian science participated in this important event for mankind, for meteorological and oceanographic data.
