Emin Duraku
At age of 24, on December 5th, 1942, died for the liberation of the country from the fascist occupiers the militant from Gjakova, “Hero of the People”, Emin Duraku. He was educated with the patriotic spirit in “our mountains” dormitory of Shkodra. He was arrested by the regime of Ahmet Zogu and sentenced to prison in 1939. He was arrested from Italian fascists in 1940 and was interned in the camp of Ventotene in Italy, but he continued the war until he was ranked among the 80 martyrs and 15 heroes of the people that the gymnasium of Shkodra gave to the war for freedom and democracy.
