The Senate of Venice Republic, after the assassination of Lek Dukagjin and the occupation of Danja, on March 4th, 1448 announced a ruling by which the person who will kill Scanderbeg, will provide an annual income of 1000 ducats. Despite the pressure, George Castrioti besieged Danja and left 4,000 people to hold the siege, while he with 10 thousand soldiers joined the units of Kont Uranus to protect the borders by the Turks, who were urging for a new attack against Albanian territories from Venice.
