The Albanian Committee of Istanbul on April 30th, 1897, published in the newspaper “La nacione Albanese “, the memorandum on the Albanian issue. It aimed at sensitizing the international public opinion. The Albanians, was said in the Memorandum, “want with determination the entirety of their homeland … of that Albania, which until now has always maintained a half of independence and has never been subjected to either the Romans or the Turks, nor to anyone else”.
