At the dawn of 28 November 1793 in Shkodra, Lezha and their surroundings, the uprising erupted against the Ottoman armies, commanded by Ebubeqir Pasha. Even Kara Mahmut Bushatlliu, came out from the castle and attacked his forces. All the roads were closed and the enemy was surrounded. With big losses the Turkish pasha shattered the siege, but in Lezha suffered other losses. With the remnants of his army, he arrived in Elbasan and from there he went in Bitola. This was a great victory of Albanians, on the anniversary of the raising of the flag by Gjergj Kastriot in Kruja.
