The singer Zihni Berat, was born on April 24th, 1922. “The first musical school” for him was the ancient city of songs, but also his talented family. His brother Naxhiu, a virtuoso violinist, met him with the Italian lecturer Andrea Velo, but also with the microphone of the Radio. He continued the musical education after the liberation, in the Lyceum. With the creation of the Philharmonic and later Theater of Opera and Ballet, were opened many possibilities for the singer. He interpreted in the first opera “Rusalka”, put on our stage and continued to perform 24 principal operatic roles, from the works of our and foreign authors. His partners were our most prominent artists but also soloists coming from other countries. Zihni Berat, has also developed an intense concert activity.
