Today is commemorated the engineer-agronomist Lefter Pepo, who passed away on February 20th, 1999. He was born in Korca, in an intellectual family in 1914. He followed the primary and secondary education at homeland. He was graduated in Agronomic Faculty of Lyon in France. He has worked in Përmet, Vlora, Gjirokastra and Pogradec. In 1941, he took part in the Congress of the Albanian Agriculture. After the liberation he was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and worked for the commission of the Agrarian Reform.
