In 1268, was built the Monastery of Apollonia, near Fieri of today, together with its church, it is a magnificent ensemble of the Albanian medieval architecture. It is the continuation of the development of the culture of ancient Apollonia, a testimony of the Albanian people creative spirit and his ancestors ancient who for centuries and millennia have inhabited these lands, leaving an indelible mark and enriching the treasure of their culture and worldwide. In the Monastery of Apollonia, after so many centuries, are preserved many artistic values. The numerous icons, unique wall paintings, cult objects worked in wood and metal reflect the great development of fine arts in arbërore territories of that time.
