The professor and seismologist Eduard Sulstarova was born on November 12th, 1934, in Korça. After his graduation at the University of Tirana, he taught at the Polytechnic University of Tirana and at the Faculty of Geology and Mining. He has done several specializations in China and in France. With the establishment of the first Seismological Station in our country, he was involved in the study of the earthquakes in Albania, directing the Seismological Centre and in the Balkan and European studies in this field. Sulstarova is a member of the European Seismological Commission and a member of various Seismological Balkan committees.
