The University of Pristina was founded on February 15th, 1970, that opened the door for all the minorities, even for the students of many other countries who taught Albanian and albanological sciences. Until in the end of 80’s were graduated 60 thousand students. In 1981, began the Serbian violence against the students and the directors of the University of Prishtina and in 1991, began the so-called policy of “dealbanizimit” of the University and of all Kosovo. The University of Prishtina was closed. Professors taught their lectures in difficult conditions, and the students gave the exams and took the diplomas.
