The world of Albanian letters commemorates the arbëresh patriot, poet, journalist, historian and archaeologist Gavril Dara Jr. He became famous especially with the poem, ” Kënga e sprapsme e Balës “, that reflects the 25 years glorious Epopee of Albanians leaded by Gjergj Kastriot, in defense of the freedom and the independence of Albania and the European civilization from the Ottoman invasions. Gavril Dara Junior died on November 1882.
