On November 17th, 1912, Ismail Qemali, Luigj Gurakuqi, Pandeli Cali, Dhimitër Berati, Qazim Kurti, Kristo Meksi went to Trieste with “Vurmbrana” ship ” under the protection of Austria and Italy. They broke through the Greek blockade and arrived in Durres with the aim to raise the flag and to declare the independence of Albania.
