Abdyl Frashëri
Today our nation commemorate the great Renaissance, “Hero of people”, Abdyl Frashëri, one of the main leaders of Albanian League of Prizren, the director of the Central Committee for the protection of the rights of Albanian nationality of Istanbul, organizer of the Assembly of Preveza, arrested and sentenced to imprisonment and death by Ottoman justice. He died on October 23rd, 1891.
