Halil Patrona is the Albanian historical personality who leaded the civic insurgency of Istanbul, on September 28th 1730. This insurgency was against the regime of Ahmet Sultan III, and against the oppression and exploitation. In this insurgency participated 1200 Albanians. The insurgents asked the decrease of taxes and a better life; they defeated the Sultan in power and put on the throne Mehmet I. Halil Patrona, who leaded the war for rights and freedom was killed perfidiously from agents of Sublime Porte.
