In Elbasan on September 7, 1910, was born Professor Alexander Buddha, prominent history, chairman of the Academy of Sciences, “The Teacher of the People”. After graduating in Austria, he taught in Korça and Tirana, participated in the National Liberation Movement, one of the first directors of the National Library, founder and lecturer of higher education institutions and the University of Tirana, MP of the People’s Assembly. Aleks Buda, has left a rich heritage of study in the field of history, especially the medieval and 25-year era led by Gjergj Kastrioti.
