On the 19th of August 1937, the Puppet Theater and the Ministry of Defense in Tirana hosted the first infant building ceremony in our country, called “Infantry Hysen Nikolica”. The building was designed by the famous Albanian architect, Qamil Butka, and was raised at the expense of Mrs. Nikolica, in memory of her husband. “Infantry Hysen Nikolica” was the first preschool institution that was opened shortly after Albania’s liberation and was renamed the “Kindergarten”.
