On July 27, 1892, Nikola Naço, on behalf of the Albanian society “Drita” Bucharest, and the Albanian people in the Balkans, addressed a letter to the King of Italy, where he wrote about the great backwardness of his homeland and the danger of nationalization of Albanians. He also informed the Monarch about the opening of the first Normal School in Bucharest, followed by pupils from Albania and Macedonia. He asked the Italian king to intervene near the Ottoman Empire to protect them from pashas and secure national rights. Such a letter, Nicholas Nacho, also sent it to the German Chancellor, Otto Bismarck.
