The Battle of Pojska in Pogradec, which took place on July 16, 1943, has been the most severe of the National Liberation War. The fascist forces received reinforcements from Pogradec and Prrenjasi. In the war, which lasted for several hours, fascists used armored vehicles and planes. In the field of battle heroically fell, Reshit Collaku, Siri Kodra, Spiro Gjiknuri, Ptolema Xhuvani, Koli Gusho, Isuf Leka, Dilo Nesha, Arif Kuka, Ali Rrapi and Petrit Blloshmi. The enemy left 29 killed, including a general.
