On June 9th, 1457, Pope Calista III, addressed a warm letter to Skanderbeg, expressing the attitude of Pope and the Western world for the holy war of the Albanian Hero. With the letter from Pope Kristi III, he informs Gjergj Kastriot that he has started “In the aid of your nobility … a well built and armed ship and as soon as possible we will try to send them in the future”.
