At Limuth Bridge, near Tirana, on May 17, 1914, the battalion was launched that was launched south in front of the “Northern Epirus”. After a short stint, the battalion was shattered. Limuth’s action, in fact, served for the armed uprising against Vilhelm Vid’s regime. The villagers of Tirana, where Esat Pasha Toptani had their own guilty, abducted the weapons and after taking Shijaku, they headed to Tirana. Esat Pasha, was forced to flee to the Italian Embassy.
