On the evening of December 31st, 1937, Tefta Tashko and the pianist Lola Aleksi, gave a concert in the Royal House in Tirana. Present were the King Zog I, the royal family and many other guests. The artists performed foreign parts, classical and folk songs. We note that this was the first time that the New Year evening was officially celebrated in our country.
