At the end of 1876, in the north were made preparations for an armed uprising that would force Istanbul to declare the Autonomous Albanian Principality. The Group of Shkodra, made his links with the neighboring countries, for a joint action, meanwhile in Shënpal, Mirditë, on December 27th,1876, was gathered a grand assembly, where was decided and concluded for the uprising. Such gatherings in the ensuing days became even Kthella, Puka and Lezha. The rebels carried out several actions against the Turkish units, which were concentrated in Mirdita. With their military actions they stopped even the military road Shkoder-Prizren. But the international conditions didn’t favour the extension of the uprising.
