On 7 June 1451, between the Alfonso of Naples and the Albanian count Gjergj Arianiti, the Treaty for Cooperation in the Fight against Turks was signed. On behalf of Gjergj Arianiti, the document was signed by his ambassador Filip Pantella. In addition to military co-operation, the treaty also foresaw problems of trade exchanges and providing shelter for Arianit and his people, if he was in need of the Kingdom of Naples. The Treaty of 1451 is one of the rare bilateral conflicts that has come to our day, with great historical and state-building significance.
