On April 6th, 1941, the XII German army supported by the Italian and Hungarian troops through the Bulgarian territory, simultaneously attacked Yugoslavia and Greece. Within a few days, they occupied Belgrade, Thessaloniki, Athens and the armies of two neighbouring countries capitulated.
