Diokleciani
In Dalmatia, in the year 245, was born Gaj Aurel Diocletian, the Roman emperor of Illyrian origin. A strategist and commander, he was proclaimed emperor in 284, from Illyrian military units that he commanded. He ruled the vast empire for 21 years.
