Immediately after the invasion of Albania, the fascist authorities began to prepare for further expansion in Balkan. In the approved budget, on April 28th, 1939, the Ministry of World Affairs received 231 thousand of gold francs for the construction of roads and bridges, 100 thousand francs for Burrel-Peshkopi road, 50 thousand francs for Pukë-Kukës road, 10 thousand francs for the road Kamez- Urë e Zezë, 16 thousand francs for Erzen bridge, etc.
