In Cerovo, Skrapar, on January 28th, 1896 was born Riza Cerova, “Hero of the Nation”. He was educated in Thessaloniki and Istanbul. In January of 1920, he was among the fighters who defended the work of the Congress and in June, took part in the glorious epic of liberation of Tepelena and Vlora from the Italian occupiers. Riza Cerova was among the leading activists of the Revolution of June 1924 and supported the Democratic Government of Noli. He was killed in Moker, by the royalist forces during the uprising of Fier in August 1935.
