The Durrës sailors, on May 27, 1928, went on strike and sought to raise salaries and improve working conditions. The strike lasted 6 days and ended with the workers’ victory. Then, port workers, who worked for the Italian firm “Manxorana”, were struck. The strike lasted 3 days and the firm raised the salaries of skilled workers.
