The exhibition of figurative makers “Dardanët” opened in Pristina on May 21, 1997. They exhibited their works on painting, graphics, drawing and collage, some of Kosovo’s most iconic painters. Thus, Englez Berisha, was introduced with the cycle “Prizren Medallions”, Nebil Muriqi with the cycle “Pelazgët”, Hysni Krasniqi, with the cycle “Trinat”, Mustafa Ferizi with the cycle, “The Illyrian Perceptions”, Gani Gashi with the cycle ” Antiquity “, and Shkelzen Zhubi, with the” Jehona Dardane “cycle. Criticism and the press described the exhibition as a continuation of ethnic, historical and cultural identity. On this occasion was organized the debate “The treatment of historical, cultural, mythological identity as an expression of our national being”.
