On June 20, 1937, Shaqir Hajrullahu, was appointed secretary of the Albanian Consulate General in Istanbul. He was born in Gjakova in 1907. After the completion of Robert’s American College of Istanbul, he was employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tirana at the Political Department. In diplomacy, Shaqiri also worked after the Italian invasion. In April 1942, he was elected a member of the Italian Corporate Council. After the capitulation of Italy, he returned to Kosovo.
