On 17th September 1942, in front of the jail of Tirana erupted the demonstration of women and mothers, who protested against the internment in Italia of the antifascist prisoners. The institutions tried to interrupt the demonstration and when they failed, they used the guns against the demonstrators. Due to the wounds, died Mine Peza, the first martyr of the Antifascist National Liberation Movement, the Heroine of People, which was immortalized in the song “Where is my girl, where is my son”.
