In Pristina on February 17th, 2008 at the Parliament, the elected democratically leaders, declared Kosovo independent and democratic state. This was the culmination of a long struggle for freedom of the Albanian people. It was the deserved reward of the liberation war of the people, the blood of heroes, but also thanks to the support of the United States and NATO. Immediately after this act of Kosovo was recognized by many countries. It now faces the challenges of state building, economic and democratic development. But Kosovo has a youthful population, is rich in natural resources and located in the path of the European integration and the values of freedom and western democracy.
