In Shkodra, on December 15th, 1916, was born the poet, writer and the well known Albanian dramaturge Kol Jakova, the antifascist fighter that fought the invaders with gun and pen, author of the songs, that were turned to “bomb and flag”; as “Kënga e tre heronjëve”, “Shqiponja partizane”, “Heronjtë e Vigut”, etc. He has given a great contribution to the development of the Albanian drama. The dramas “Toka jonë”, “Përkolgjinajt”, “Lulet e shegës”, “Bashkë me agimin”, “Lugajanët” and especially “Halili dhe Hajrija”, are put in scenes of Albania; based on these are made movies and ballets play.Besides the articles, stories and novels published in the press of the time, Kol Jakova left and three novels: “Fshati midis ujrave”, “Përballë hekurave të kryqëzuar” and “Kulla buzë liqenit”.
