To have the free arms in the fight against Gjergj Kastrioti, Sultan Murati II, accepted Gjergj Brankovic’s vassal, turning his kingdom “Serbia”. He even asked Vladislav, king of Hungary and Poland, peace, which was signed on July 12, 1444, in Geged. But Gegedus’s peace, completed for 10 years, did not last for six weeks. Vladislavi during this time, prepared an army of 14,000 Hungarians, Poles and Romanians, entered Gjergj Kastrioti and asked him to step after the Turks when his armies attacked from the north.
