The People's Republic of Albania
The Constituent Assembly, that was established from the first elections after the war, on January 11th, 1946, announced the People’s Republic of Albania, today is the Republic of Albania. 82 deputies elected in the elections of December 1945 gathered in the hall of the House of Arts (where today is the building of the Academy of Arts in Tirana), changed the form of the regime, declaring Albania People’s Re-public, from monarchy that was since 1928.
