1 June, is the International Day of Children or their Day of Defense. It was decided at the Council Session of the Women’s Democratic Federation, held in Moscow, as a day of struggle against the exploitation of child labor and their education. Since 1946, UNICEF has been set up, an international organization that provides assistance and support to children in poor and backward countries. In 1989, the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention “On the Rights of the Child”, which is an important international act to protect the rights of the younger generation and to secure the conditions for its upbringing.
