European Victim Day / Sabiha Kasimati embroidered shirt is displayed at the Museum

At a conference that referred to the European Day of Victims, the director of the National Museum, Dorian Koci, said that we should bring an open debate to see the uncomplicated past.

While Gentiana Sulaj, head of filing authority, further explained that the declassification process has made the most open files, but there are also bookings for them, which according to her relate to national security.

“Our law is the law of transparency. Among many other principles of the law is national security. We consider it as a collegial institution. We assess case by case. Until now, we have not had cases of declining declassification, “said head of file authority Gentiana Sulaj.

The conference was also welcomed by German Ambassador, Suzan Shyt, who recalled the difficult process of opening Stassi’s files in Germany. Shyt said that Albania is a bit late in the process of filing files.
