To have the free arms in the fight against Gjergj Kastrioti, Sultan Murati II, accepted Gjergj Brankovic’s vassal, turning his kingdom “Serbia”. He even asked Vladislav, king of Hungary and Poland, peace, which was signed on July 12, 1444, in Geged. But Gegedus’s peace, completed for 10 years, did not last for six weeks.
