On 14 June 1835, in Grenaa, not far from Shkodra, there was a fierce battle between Turkish “Nazi” and Albanian insurgents. The battle lasted over 6 hours. Nearly 100 insurgents, citizens of Shkodra and the highlands, remain killed and injured. Damages in the ranks of the enemy were even bigger.
